Trouble Man

By 1981 Marvin Gaye was living in London and on his uppers, the good times had been and gone, addicted to cocaine and without a recording contract he appeared to be heading the same way as so many before him. On the advice of a Belgian concert promoter Freddy Cousaert he took a ferry from Southampton and moved to Ostend to get it straight.

This documentary was made at the time and gives an insight into the life and thoughts of the man who brought us the still relevant "Whats Goin On" and who would be shot dead by his father within two years.

I spent a couple of days in Ostend  some years ago whilst following my team on a short lived European campaign and loved it's faded glamour, steak frites and 12% beer brewed by monks , well worth a look if your in Belgium.
